BRIGETTE RYAN

Brigette Ryan is a northern Wisconsin girl who fell in love with all that is yoga. The breath, the connection, and the movement of yoga helped me find my path in life. I started my yoga practice in 2019 when my son was very sick, and I needed to find myself again. Yoga has brought so much love into my life, and I knew I wanted to share that yoga love with others. I received my 200hr-RYT certificate in November of 2022 from Vidya yoga school. Gaining that certificate has opened my life up to endless possibilities, and I am excited to help others find their own love for yoga. My yoga practice goes beyond the asanas and incorporates mind, body and spirit into every class. Outside of yoga I love to be immersed in all things nature and doing those things with my family fills my heart up. “Yoga does not just change the way we see things. It transforms the person who sees.” ― B.K.S Iyengar

SUZI HARTZHEIM

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years but it wasn’t until the last 5 years that it became a regular practice. After years of injuries from running and other exercise, I decided to make yoga “my thing”. With a background in Corporate Fitness, I know very well that two of the most important things as you age, are to maintain your strength and flexibility. Not only have I found that with yoga but also as a way to manage stress. The more I practiced, the more I wanted to know and learn, so I decided to get certified to teach yoga through Breath for Change, in June of 2018. As a School Counselor, I thought yoga would help teachers manage their stress and help students to learn how to cope and manage their feelings. I am spreading my wings to begin my journey as a yoga instructor in my community at the Yogashop. Join me as we explore the joy of yoga. Namaste

JILL DERDZINSKI

Jill completed her 200 Hour RYTT at Nature Yoga Sanctuary in Chicago in 2011. With a deep desire to continue learning and growing, her studies have taken her around the world, and she is a student of yoga, breathwork, bodywork, Tradition Chinese medicine, healing and medicinal plants/herbs. When not traveling, Jill resides, teaches yoga and practices bodywork in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, where she feels most grounded and connected to her Mother Earth. Her vinyasa teaching style is structured yet playful, offering options of depth while encouraging each student to listen to their individual needs. Her yin yoga teaching style addresses qi stagnation in the body by inviting prana into specific healing pathways while holding space for each to go deep within and access stillness in body and soul. Jill loves to be a conduit for transformation, whether it be a reset of the nervous system or a new-found fluidity throughout the body.

VICKY MUMFORD

Vicky Mumford participated in all forms of dance lessons and played soccer throughout her elementary and high school years in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Vicky’s interest in yoga began several years ago, and her true journey started when she was pregnant with her second daughter. Yoga helped her learn how to connect to her breath, alleviate low back and hip pain and offered just the right amount of gentle movement her body was craving during pregnancy. She fell in love with the flow and from there was her daily yoga practice.

Vicky received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from Yama Yoga Studio in Milwaukee and has also acquired additional teacher certifications in prenatal, postnatal, and kids yoga. She completed her 300-hour training with Mark Stephens.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UW Stevens Point with a double major in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Capella University.  Vicky and her husband have a lake home in Winchester where they enjoy life with their two daughters, Josephine and Annabelle. By teaching yoga Vicky hopes to spread the knowledge she has gained and introduce others to this practice that has transformed her life physically and mentally.

LAUREN BEVERSDORF

Lauren has been an athlete all of her life, competing as a scholarship swimmer all four years at university. When her swimming career ended, she found a love of running in the disciplined training for three consecutive Chicago marathons. Not accustomed to the pounding one’s body takes in training for marathons, and never taking time to stretch, Lauren needed something to heal her aching back and hips because she was no longer able to run…enter YOGA! She came to yoga in 2007 to allow herself time to get back into running and heal her physical body, and found so much more than just a physical practice. The mind, body, spirit connection is what keeps Lauren addicted to her daily yoga practice. She completed a teacher certification program at Indigo Yoga Center in Lake Geneva, WI in 2012 and completed her Power, Hot Power Fusion, and Sculpt Yoga Teacher Trainings in 2014 at Core Power Yoga. Lauren has a passion for the yogi lifestyle and is excited to share her flexibility not only in mind and body, but also in her interactions with others. Professionalism, sheer joy and love are hopefully what you will experience in her classes, along with a dose of fun and connection. When she is not practicing yoga, Lauren is teaching Spanish, or reading, paddleboarding, enjoying the great outdoors or spending time with her husband and two dogs.

SADIE BOGNAR

Sadie’s yoga practice began in college after trying out a class with a friend. She was immediately hooked to the practice for the physical and mental benefits it provided to her while juggling the demands of school and work. Her yoga practice has stayed with after college, through graduate school and into her full time work as a speech language pathologist and now as a new mom. In 2019, after 10 years on the mat, she pursued yoga teacher training to learn more about the practice and share it with those around her. Sadie completed her 200 hour YTT in Manitowish Waters, through T Nolan Yoga in the spring of 2019. Originally from the Northwoods, Sadie and her husband relocated from Madison back to the Northwoods in 2018. They love calling the area home, and enjoy all the Northwoods has to offer all year round, along with their young son, Cliff, and Boston Terrier, Mabel. Sadie is also employed as a speech language pathologist at AV-W Elementary School. She strives to empower and inspire all her students both on and off the mat.
